Chavez' attempt to become 'dictator for life' was defeated 51-49, despite a slanted electoral system. As usual, Chavez is threatening US oil supplies. I say to him-- go ahead. At $90 a barrel, there are alot of other places to get oil. 
The monarch of Spain, King Juan Carlos, reproached Venzuelan President Hugo Chavez over the weekend when he called former Spanish Premier Aznar as a 'fascist'. To quote the King, he told him to "shut up". Thank you, your majesty, for expressing my sentiment so eloquently. Now Chavez is comparing himself to Jesus Christ, saying, that if he stops speaking, "the stones of Latin America will cry out." Not only is he a Commie nutball, now he is suffering delusions of godhood. The sooner this nut is dragged off the stage, the better.
