Welcome to the party, Barack
It was truly illuminating seeing Sen. Barack Obama speaking about the responsibility of fathers on Father's Day. He spoke at the Apostolic Church of God, a South Side Chicago megachurch known to me as one of the largest Pentecostal churches in America, affiliated (until recently) with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. I would like to know where he has been the last few years. It's all well and good to move to the center during an election year, but was he saying these things two years ago, or four years ago? He's picking up Bill Cosby's line of argument, and Bill has taken all kinds of heat for those kind of comments over the years. I wonder how many more election years conversion positions we're going to see from him?
