Barack Gets A Beat-Down

For a guy who is on his way to the Democratic presidential nomination, Sen. Barack Obama sure does show a alot of weaknesses.  Hillary Clinton got 68% and thumped Obama by 41 points in West Virginia.  It looks like Obamamania is running out of steam.  Back in December, when Obama was the 'flavor of the week', I asked people who were going crazy for him, including my mother, what he stood for.  All I heard from her and others was about how handsome he was, and how great his speeches were.  No Democrat in a hundred years has won the presidency without carrying West Virginia, and Obama show great weakness here.  He is also going hammered in Kentucky next week as well, since it has similar demographics as WV.  As he limps towards the finish line, he looks more and more like Mike Dukakis, another notorious loser of 20 years past.  This was noted by no less a person the Susan Estrich, Mike Dukakis" campaign manager!

No Fool Like An Old Fool

Fomer Pres. Jimmy Carter, on his recent 'peace mission' to kiss up to the terrorist Hamas organization, has made a complete fool of himself.  A weak president while in office, and a weak character since, he somehow got it into his mind that he could actually get Hamas to do something constructive by sitting down and talking to these murderers.  Well, he was rather disappointed.  First, they made him look ridiculous when he said they had accepted Israel's existence.  Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal quickly denounced that statement, saying he had agreed to 'ten-year truce' if Israel returned to pre-1967 borders.  He later renounced even that.  Carter also defied the US State Dept. to make his little trip to cozy up to terrorists.  The Israeli ambassador to the US harshly criticized him as a 'bigot', and the father of a kidnapped Israeli soldier wasn't impressed either.  Receiving a letter from his son, he condemned Carter as 'a postman for Hamas'.  Sounds pretty much like a complete disaster to me.

Go Get 'Em, Lindsay!

My hearty congratulations to the patriotic organization Veterans for Freedom, which held a rally for Gen. Petraeus after his Capitol hill testimony yesterday.  Presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, a decorated naval aviator in Vietnam, fired up the crowd saying "...we will never surrender to the extremists."  But my biggest cheers go for Sen. Lindsay Graham, a reserve USAF colonel, who said the following:

"Do you know who wants to come home more than anybody?" said Graham. "Al Qaeda -- because you are kicking their ass. We are going to get you home, he told U.S. troops. But we are going to leave behind an Iraq that makes America safer."

Remember that freedom isn't free!!!

Fight Terrorism-- Foreign AND Domestic

The explosion of a pipebomb last week at a recruiting station in Manhattan reminds of the threat we face here at home from dangerous domestic Weathermen leftovers.  The antiwar "peace" extremist has committed several small-scale attack on military recruiting offices and personnel over the last few years.  These deluded nuts are closely related to left-wing radicals at such extreme organizations as Codepink and other extremists.  Law enforcement must get serious about tackling these nuisances.  Just as during the Vietnam conflict, they are attempting to impede and damage our war effort against Al-Qaeda, and this cannot be allowed.

Old Terrorists DO Die...

Terror master MughniyehToday we celebrate the death of venerable, legendary dirtbag terrorist, Imad Mughniyeh in Damascus, Syria yesterday.  Wanted for involvement in the 1983 Beirut bombing of the Marine barracks there and the murder of Navy diver Robert Stethem in 1985 during a hijacking.  He was the most wanted terrorist in the world before 9/11.  A high-ranking Hezbollah operative, Mughniyeh died when his car exploded.  This was though to be the work of the Israeli Mossad with some help from other Western intelligence agencies (meaning the CIA).  Long may he rot, and we are gratified that no matter how long it takes, we're going to get all of these vermin.  Iran, who finances Hezbollah, released a statement condeming Israel.  Well, we know where Hezbollah's home address is, don't we?

US Out-- of Berkeley

So, the Berkeley, CA City Council has passed yet another irritating antiwar resolution.  They have declared the US Marine recruiting office in their city is not welcome "due to their discriminatory policy against gays and lesbians in the military."  What a bunch of idiots.  The policy is determined by the Congress and the President of United States.  If you don't like it, contact them.  To harass our brave fighting soldiers during wartime is a grave insult.  This dopey resolution, a throwback to the 60's, refers to the US' "history of launching illegal, immoral, and unprovoked wars of aggression...".  What a bunch of knuckleheads.  I hope if we find any terrorists in Berkeley, we just let them go to commit their mayhem their.  These nutballs don't deserve the protection of the armed forces of the United States, or any Federal agenies.  Hank Adler, of Chapman University, proposed that all Federal agencies be withdrawn from within the boundaries of Berkeley.  I applaud his wise proposal-- it should be implemented immediately.  The city government has, outrageously, given Code Pink knucklehead special parking permits to harass the Marines.  Since willfully impeding recruitment into the Armed Services is a federal crime, the local US Attorney should prosecute!

The Eclipse of Microsoft?

gOS screenI've been a Microsoft customer for many years, and I think they added a great deal to our mighty technological civilization.  I also believe that they have made enough money, and we may need to find some alternatives to their 90% dominance of the world computer market.  Recently, a Linux-based graphics-oriented system called gOS has been released, and is being marketed by Google.  This system is definitely geared towards the tech-savvy teens and twentysomethings of the 21st century.  It has icons for a quick connection to Wikipedia and social networking sites like Facebook and YouTubeBest of all, it's free, and completely open-source.  No more shelling out $300 for a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate!  It has the Firefox browser, and the OpenOffice look-alike of Microsoft Office 2003.  It's compatible with preexisting Office files as well.  I've tried out the system, and it seems to run fairly reliably.  Walmart has a $200 PC available running this system, which is considerably less than a similar $350 Windows Vista system with the same hardware.  This show that Microsoft's weight on the PC industry is heavy indeed.  So strike a blow for the forces of liberation, and try gOS!

"He That Liveth By The Sword...

Young Hamas terrorist...shall perish by the sword", as the Scripture tells us.  Here pictured is Hussam Zahar, 24, son of Palestinian Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar, who died fighting Israeli military units in the Gaza strip.  This definitely not a man of peace.  He had already lost an elder brother several years ago during an unsuccessful Israeli asassination attempt on his father.  As President Bush toured the Mideast, Islamic radicals continue to stir up trouble and conduct terrorist attacks throughout the region.  We support PA President Mahmoud Abbas in his attempt to find a peaceful solution to differences with Israel.  The forces of civilization must prevail against these evil militants!

Rush is King

El RushoCongratulations to Maha Rushie!  The Number One radio talk show host has been named "Man of the Year" by Human Events magazine.  They are recognizing his towering defense of conservative principles all through the year.  He was attacked by the Left on several different occasions, including an unprecedented assault on him by Senate Majority Leader 'Dingy' Harry Reid.  This was the famous 'phony soldier' story, where Reid and his nefarious tools attempted to twist Rush's words.  Rush astutely pointed out a supposedly antiwar soldier who in fact was a fraud who never served in Iraq as he claimed.  Reid jumped on this "case" and denounced Rush, a private citizen, on the floor of the Senate.  This kind of tactic hasn't been used since the McCarthy era.  He and his co-asassins were proven wrong, and Rush turned the tables by auctioning off a complaint letter signed by 44 Senate Democrat for $2.1 million.  Matching it with an identical amount, Rush donated the entire $4.2 million to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation.  Rush is truly a King among men.

Giuliani for President, A Tested Leader

Mayor Rudi GiulianiToday, right before the Iowa Caucuses, I am announcing my pick for President of United States.  I am proud to endorse former NYC Mayor Rudi Giuliani for President.  As a conservative, I have looked carefully over all of the well-qualified GOP candidates for president, and Rudy impresses me most of all.  More than anything else, I am a national security conservative, and I am thoroughly convinced that Rudy will defend this country with determination and vigor.  He proved his metal by showing strong leadership during one of our nation's darkest hours, the 9-11 Attack on NYC's World Trade Center.  He also showed strength and determination in fighting organized crime in NY as a US Attorney under President Ronald Reagan.  We do have some differences in social issues, but he wisely promised to appoint conservative judges in the mold of Justices Scalia and Thomas.  That's good enough for me.  Other candidates, like Gov. Huckabee of Arkansas are stronger on moral issues, but go soft on law enforcement and illegal immigration.  We would all sleep more soundly with Rudy Giuliani as president in these turbulent times.

Merry Christmas to All, and a Prosperous New Year

US Capitol Christmas treeNo wimpy 'Holiday Greetings' or 'Seasons Greetings' here.  Here PC is just a computer.  We proudly say 'Merry Christmas' to all of our enemies, from the terrorists of Al-Qaeda who wish to destroy Western Civilization to the radical secularists at the ACLU who want to-- well-- destroy Western Civilization.  During this season, MTV and Tila Tequila deserve special condemnation-- my Lord, a bisexual dating show!!!  Let us take stock of ourselves and our nation, and rededicate ourselves to Jesus Christ, who lives today as the Redeemer of mankind, and not just as a baby in a manger!

The King Finally Does the Right Thing

Saudi monarch King AbdullahMy hearty congratulations to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia for pardoning a young lady who was gang raped earlier this year.  Under the Kingdom's conservative laws, she was also liable for punishment for being in the company of men not related to her.  Pres. George W. Bush also weighed in wish a strong expression of displeasure about the episode.  Your Majesty, it's time to banish Saudi Arabia's medieval standards of justice and bring your country into the modern era.

Keep the Heat on Iran

NSA Advisor HadleyAntiwar liberal knuckleheads and Al-Qaeda sympathizers have a new hero-- National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley (or so they think).  Since the NIE Summary was released and said that Iran stopped their nuclear weapon program in 2003, these clowns have been crowing about something, but it's not clear what.  Are you guys saying that 'diplomacy' works?  It's fascinating to see Mahmoud crowing about 'victory', quoting a US government report.  How does he know that we're not playing him?  Now let's see-- in 2003, we invaded Iraq, right next door to Iran.  On their border, we had been in Afghanistan for two years already.  The A. Q. Khan nuclear organization was broken up that year as well.  Let's see now-- Ahmadinejad and Co. had a lot to be afraid of.  Fear-- of the Central Command-- is their only motivating factor.  Also, the NIE summary was written by some soft-headed ex-State department types, and shouldn't be completely trusted.  As President Bush has noted, Iran is still enriching uranium, and could restart a weapons program at any.  Remember what Patrick Henry said-- "the price of liberty is eternal vigilance".

Don't Cry For Me, Ven-e-zuela

Let's give three cheers for the people of Venezuela!!!  “We’ve put a stop to the socialist authoritarian project,” said one leader, Leopoldo Lopez. “Now we’re opening the way to democracy.” (MSNBC)  Let's keep an eye on Mr. Lopez, sure to be a future leader of Venezuela.  Chavez' attempt to become 'dictator for life' was defeated 51-49, despite a slanted electoral system.  As usual, Chavez is threatening US oil supplies.  I say to him-- go ahead.  At $90 a barrel, there are alot of other places to get oil. Tongue out

Victory for the Holidays

As we all sit down at Thanksgiving dinner to overeat, let us give thanks not only our mighty nation but also for victory in Iraq.  Not only Al-Qaeda terrorists but Democrat defeatists have been routed and shattered.  With the sole exception of 'bathtub-boy', MSNBC's blowhard Keith Olberman, all other members of the drive-by media have surrendered.  (The netnuts over at codepink don't really count.) As related in his NY Post column, Ralph Peters identified the big five reasons for victory in Iraq:

We didn't quit:  This was really tough.  With the drive-by media all screaming for a pullout, and major leftist papers like the NY Times pounding on it every day, the President was a rock of strength through the entire episode.  Brave military leaders like Lt. Gen. Odierno were constantly hammered for being "warmongers" and worse.  Prominent news figures like Tim Russert even threw in the towel.  The GOP itself took some losses last year, and lost control of the House and Senate.  Check out the political history of the Civil War and what Abe Lincoln went through.  The similarities are striking.

Gen. David PetraeusGen. Petraeus took command: Petraeus took on his new assignment with determination and a specific plan for victory, not just holding the line.  He literally wrote the book on counterinsurgency, and he put it into practice.  He made a difference in working with Sunni tribal leaders, turning them against Al-Qaeda and cultivating their cooperation.  He made a strategic move here that was decisive.

The surge worked:  Pooh-poohed by the left-wing media, this was a big part of Petraeus' 'clear-and-hold' strategy.  Once insurgents and terrorist were driven out of an area, enough troops were available to hold it.  An important psychological effect was realized as our enemies saw that not weren't we leaving, we were sending in more men.  Our friends also saw determination, and decided to join us in the fight.

Al-Qaeda fanaticism:  Savage Al-Qaeda tactics like torture and murder of children turned Sunni tribal leaders against the foreign terrorists.  Stories about insurgent baking kids and serving them to their families dramatically cut their support among their fellow Sunnis.  Muslim fanatics always go too far, but no one can predict when the population will say 'enough'.

Iraqis are sick of the bloodshed and destruction:  Neighborhood militias in Baghdad suddenly began taking up the fight against insurgents and gangsters in their midst.  This may have been the most dramatic change of all, and is responsible for the great improvement in the atmosphere in the capital.  People are returning to formerly embattled neighborhoods, including Baghdad's Christians.

The struggle isn't completely over yet, but victory is surely at hand.  Senator Reid and Speaker Pelosi can't stop themselves from reading from the loser playbook, but the President will prevail over them as well.

Old Liberals Never Die (Or Apologize Either)

The WadlerMy hat's off today to left-wing Democrat Congressman Jerry Nadler for using classic doublespeak during the debate over war funding in the House yesterday.  Last spring, 'drive-by media' icons like Tim Russert were saying "the war is lost".  Now Nadler, the DC version of 'Jabba the Hutt' is saying that Al-Qaeda in Iraq has been "shattered" so troops should be brought home.  Make up your mind Jerry (if you have one)!  We are winning in Iraq, no thanks to you, you tired old hippy. For 'surrendercrats', Dick Cheney is the real enemy, not Al-Qaeda.

God Bless King Juan Carlos

Venezuelan dictatorThe monarch of Spain, King Juan Carlos, reproached Venzuelan President Hugo Chavez over the weekend when he called former Spanish Premier Aznar as a 'fascist'.  To quote the King, he told him to "shut up".  Thank you, your majesty, for expressing my sentiment so eloquently.  Now Chavez is comparing himself to Jesus Christ, saying, that if he stops speaking, "the stones of Latin America will cry out."  Not only is he a Commie nutball, now he is suffering delusions of godhood.  The sooner this nut is dragged off the stage, the better.

Don't Wait Til It's Too Late

Tyrant of TehranIt's Saturday, and that's means it's the day after the weekly "Death to America" rally in Teheran.  And Democratic presidential candidates actually want to talk to the cretins.  I've got a picture on my cellphone of what a nighttime nuclear detonation looks like.  Someday in the not too distant future, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will be looking out of his bedroom window, and he will behold the 'night mushroom'.  It will be the last thing he ever sees.  He wants to meet Allah-- he'll have the opportunity then, as seen below.Nighttime nuclear detonation Surprised
